Why do you sit in your closet and cry?
Why do you lay, pretty eyes shining with tears, wishing to die?
Is it because your mother, who you thought once cared
She who gave you life just pretends you're no longer there?
Is it because your Daddy used to come home?
Mind blurred, eyes lifeless, spitting drunken foam
As he yelled, and broke, and one night struck
Your big sister for without good reason, wishing he would just tuck
You in at night, had given you a kiss, and told
You that he always loved you, shielded you from the night’s deadly cold
Why did you detach yourself from the joys of school?
Your cheerful classmates gather ‘round you and made you seem like the fool
As they tossed jeering insults at you, sneered as you cried to yourself, and wrote
Malignant taunting names on your desk; inside, you couldn’t take it, and once brought to your throat
A cold, evil, sadistic blade, and in your mind a dark voice asked you to end it all.
But, instead, you ignored it and tossed it away into a forgotten corner, and started to crawl
Back into your favored hiding spot, repeating a daily and nocturnal twist
Crying with tears that nobody wanted to see, occasionally bringing blood forth as you hissed
At the throbbing of dull pain, wondering what you had done to deserve to rot in this earthly Hell
You called home; then came a different voice, one that made you happy and smile as he bid farewell
To everyone who hurt you; now, in the darkest recess of your thoughts, they are bloody, rotting, and dead.
And now his smile is ever-lasting; you’re thrilled, but they still remain, their lifeblood has bled
Out and you have no one to share your malaise, depressive joy with, no one who will listen
You cry again, you scream, and still no one hears or seems to care, your streams of sorrow glisten
And now you’re all alone again, trapped in a nightmarish realm born out of your dark, dark mind
Screams echo and their blood spatters, bones snap and the skin breaks wide open, everything has blind
You from the Light of Truth; still, now with no one to see, you’re crying, shedding your melancholy
Hearing the kind and raspy voice reminding you of the only Truth you know: bloody is holy.
You are incomplete; devious innocence
False purity, decrepit adolescence
You are not a woman; you are nothing but a Child.
A Demonic Child hiding behind a warm, comforting face, and a beguiled
Smile, sheltering your True Self, believing the false upfront you present
To the world is real; only you know this is nothing but lies, as you begin your descent
Into abstract madness; simple, pure, refined insanity
Corrupt, defiled sanity
Old, discarded, and useless
Blasphemous, tainted sibling and Child, and your tactless
Persona will soon worsen
You know, deep down, you’ll always be Broken.
